ABOUT ME
I am a qualified psychotherapeutic counsellor with additional training in bereavement. A calm, friendly, and thoughtful person who will put you at ease and gently help you take the next step.
I trained at Northern Guild Psychotherapy and Counselling, a BACP Accredited training provider, gaining a Diploma in Psychotherapeutic Counselling (Adult). I have also completed training with Cruse Bereavement Care and completed their Foundation Course and Adult Elective.
Over the years I have gained experience working within the NHS and local mental health charities providing counselling to adults with a range of issues including:
> Anxiety
> Depression and low mood
> Low self esteem
> Feelings of anger and guilt
> Work-related stress
> Childhood trauma
My particular interests are helping people to cope with or recover from difficult relationships; navigating life transitions; bereavement and unresolved grief. I also enjoy occupational health work, having supported employees in the education, healthcare, and social care sectors.
I hold a current Disclosure and Barring Service Enhanced Certificate.
